The Need
Times are changing and so are we.
With a competitive work environment, hectic work and lifestyles, family commitments, relationship pressures, and the need to reach personal and professional goals there is a need for some form of guidance/support to help us with what sometimes seems like insurmountable issues.
Some common issues most people face today include:

o Difficulty in relationships
o Balancing work and home life
o Managing the stresses of an accelerating pace of life
o Handling children's issues
o Managing conflicting cultural values

o Study-related problems

As we know most people are usually unaccustomed or uncomfortable discussing their personal or professional / work issues with other family members or friends, not knowing what to do or whom to ask, they just do nothing about it, thinking that everything will get solved as time goes by, this only allows the problem to grow. As we know any problem when not dealt with at the right time will only go from bad to worse and assume bigger dimensions and begin to affect our day-to-day life that can be surprisingly debilitating!

As Albert Einstein observed ‘The significant problem that we face today cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them’ This is when we can take the help of trained professionals to help resolve and deal with our problems/issues and move forward in life.

We offer consulting services both online and offline.
1. Individuals – Professionals, Business people, Housewives, students, etc.
2. Couple, Married & live-in relationships
3. Children & Family
4. Career growth & development: to understand how personality traits, value systems, relationships, etc, affect career growth.

Couples Counselling - Married,  Live-in Relationships

Each relationship is different and over time as each person grows, misunderstandings can develop and new ways must be found to accommodate individual changes into the relationship. Married or unmarried couples may enter consulting to improve their communications, learn effective conflict resolution skills, and work on building healthier relationships and family.

If you find that you and your partner battle over seemingly very different ways of doing things, take time out to explore how each of you does things. It is important to understand and identify the dynamics that have developed between the couples. One person says one thing, for the other person, it presses a panic button and may say something in response. It then results in one partner doing something that irritates the other and the cycle continues. Once a couple is able to identify what the cycle is, they can choose to do something different.

Counseling can be particularly helpful to such couples since it focuses on the ‘relationship’ dynamics as well as the individual differences and perceptions of what is going on and what each person wants their life and relationship to be about. We offer a supportive space where both partners feel truly heard and clarify issues, redirect efforts by way of building on the existing strengths and resources, and learning new skills so that you move toward a satisfying, loving, and creative long-term relationship.

o Difficulty in Relationships

Family

Family & Child

We all have dreams of how family life should be but the reality often fails to live up to these hopes and longings. Bringing up children can be enriching, rewarding, and great fun, but it can also be exhausting, baffling, and anxiety-provoking.

At one time or another most parents will be worried about some aspect of family life. Those who sail through the early years, coping with the exhausting demands of babies and small children, may find their teenagers bring them down with a crash. Others may find the early months and years a nightmare of doubt and worry and then thoroughly enjoy their children when they become more independent. There is little help available to prepare for the life-long job of being a parent.

The one thing that we all will have had is the experience of having been a child and this will have a profound effect on our own attitudes to becoming parents.
If parents had a happy childhood they may wish to recreate this for their children.

If for whatever reason, parents were unhappy in their original families they may have strong views about how they do not want it to be in their family. This can lead to difficulties, for as one parent said, ‘It is all very well saying I don’t want to be like my own mother, but then how shall I be?’ she felt she was floundering.

Deciding whether a problem is worth worrying about can be part of the problem. Some parents tolerate behavior in their children which would send other parents straight up the wall. The concepts of ‘normal’ and ‘abnormal’ are impossible to apply to the ups and downs of children’s emotional development and to family life in general.

Moreover, children’s emotional development is never smooth – there are so many influences on a child from within and without, and all need to be taken into account in understanding why problems emerge along the way. It may be helpful to list some of the sorts of symptoms of upset that bring families for help.
It cannot be a complete list, because there are as many worries as there are children, but here are just some of the signs of emotional distress.
o Sleep disturbances
o Excessive crying
o Eating problems
o Shyness
o Aggressive behavior
o Temper tantrums
o Separation anxiety
o Fears
o Bullying, or being bullied
o Wetting
o Soiling
o Depression
o Suicidal thoughts
o Stealing
o School refusal
o Anxiety
o Delinquency
o Psychosomatic illness
o Hyperactivity
o Study problems
o Inability to concentrate
o Others
It is important to stress that any of these behaviors can occur at particularly difficult or upsetting times in the life of a child or its family.

When things go wrong in a family and a child is emotionally or behaviorally disturbed, the parent’s confidence in their ability to help that child can dwindle away. At such times parents often feel guilty as well as worried. It can be difficult to admit these feelings to close family members and friends, however kind and supportive they may be.  It is time to get external support and help.

Career Planning & Guidance

Higher Studies, what major, which industry, what job......
Most students come face to face with such questions at some time or another.  In a world filled with so many career choices, choosing a career is difficult because
o Job market scenario is always dynamic and ever-changing.
o Many options and upcoming and evolving opportunities, choices and information, that ultimately confuse the students.
o Parental and peer pressure puts the students/children in a dilemma
o Employ-ability skills i.e. soft skills/computer skills/core subject knowledge are not up to the standards though students have degrees.
o Colleges require very high cut off percentage (%) and students cannot get entry into the professional course until he/she clears the entrances.
"If you fail to plan you planned to fail"
Career Counselling - For Students,
Choosing a vocation/career is a big decision. A large number of students continue to choose a vocation/career based merely on the fact that their friends are doing the same thing or because their parents told them to do so. This, however, may not be the best way to go about it.
Today, the choice is vast, ranging from the ever-popular engineering, medicine and management streams, to talent-centric fields such as fine arts or music and a youngster cannot judge where their choice will take them in life. It has become very important to get the right guidance.
Every individual is different and not everyone can be a doctor or an engineer (not everyone wants to be one!) that's okay! Choosing a field of study that is not suited to your interests or skills could prove disastrous. And that's where career consulting comes in. Career consulting helps students discover their true potential and interest in various subjects to help them choose the right career.
Career planning is based on an objective evaluation of skills interest, values, motivation, qualification, location, contacts, attitude, aptitude, intelligence, personality,…
At mind & body wellness, we are objective while offering guidance and aim at discussing the pros and cons of each profession with the student and the family, so that a well-informed decision can be taken jointly. It is, therefore, important for the students and their family to understand that the right profession is the one that the person is more likely to excel in, be it technical, non -technical, arts, science, engineering or fashion design ...
You can revisit and make use of this process throughout your career.
Start at the step that is most relevant for you now.
1. Knowing yourself - interests and passion, where U want to be in the next 5 or 10 years and what will you be doing there?
2. Finding out - Basic Skills and higher-order thinking skills
3. Making decisions
4. Taking action
Career Planning for Working professionals & Business People includes,
a) Your interests, values, skills and preferences;
b) Exploring the life, work and learning options available to you;
c) Ensuring that your work fits with your circumstances; and
d) Continuously fine-tuning your work and learning plans to help you manage the

changes in your life and the world of work.
